Our Team
Our team of fine seamstresses and tailors have been vetted and tested. Some are stay at home moms with a love for sewing. Some are former students of Merrillee's. Most have their own craft businesses, as well. We check and re-check every item that goes out of the sewing studio to ensure your items have been manufactured to your specifications.
Brenda Blockzynski
Creative Assistant/Seamstress
Brenda began working with Merrillee five years ago as a sewing student. We soon realized that she was a brilliant natural designer and she quickly mastered sewing machines, sergers and other equipment. Besides working with us, she has her own business, Wildflower Creations, making Eco-Friendly items for the home and kitchen, which can be found on Etsy.

Mia Hanson
Seamstress
Mia's first love is weaving, and her most unique talents are magically combining colors and textures to create beautiful pieces of functional art for her business, Mia's Handwovens. Mia is one of Merrillee's former students, and is excited to bring these skills to our team of seamstresses.
Buffy Buffington Bradshaw-Cruz
Team Mascot
Buffy is our Team Mascot. She's a fine little girl with a sweet heart, ready to dress up, hit the pavement and do some creative advertising. She's also great for puppy kisses!
Charles Cruz
CFO
Charles is our fabulous CFO, who makes all our lives a little bit nicer. He's a multi-tasker who doesn't mind jumping in and taking up the slack in whatever way we need him. Whether it's cutting out thousands of masks, helping finish a special quilt, working with a student on their sewing, Charles loves to get into the thick of things.
Merrillee Bradshaw-Cruz
Owner/Designer/Manager/Educator
Merrillee grew up sewing, learning from her mother, a couture seamstress who did tailoring for I-Magnin's. Very fancy schmancy stuff. She sewed most of her own clothes through high school. After she married, it was shirts and jeans for her husband, and all of her children's clothes when they were young (and they were POOR!) Then came the sewing and crafting of couture Barbie clothes (like hand-beaded wedding dresses and ball gowns) and many other items through the years. It made complete sense for her to turn her love of designing and sewing into a business. She has taught many people the art of sewing and designing, as well as doing custom sewing and alterations, but has focused on manufacturing for the last several years, with great success.
